Teeny, tiny bugs in old cookbooks?

I have a 20 year old cookbook that I've used a lot, and hence, spattered, spilled, and splashed bits of food on. Now it has teeny, tiny bugs (just visibile to my eye) in it. How can I get rid of these bugs? Should I freeze the cook book or heat it to get rid of the bugs. Can I safely heat it to 200 degrees without destroying it (does paper really burn only at Farenheight 451)? I want to save this book and have it bug-free!
