Do you think a "happy wedding anniversary" cross is weird?

At first I though it was weird since the cross is a torture device, but I can see how it fits. In the bible is says that the man should love the wife as Christ loved the church. Since christ loved to the extent of the cross then that is the man's measure of love for his wife.
