How do you get mp3 ringtone to work on the motorola v276 cellphone? please help???!!!!!?

I had dowloaded some ringtones and then they sent to cellphone in a text message and I can play them on mii phone && everything but I cant apply it as a ringtone and when I click on details it says that the file is a qcp. file and the others are an midi. file but none of them are polyphonic they are the real ringtones that actually play the music I tried using the music file converters but that wont work either please help!?!?!?!?!?!????!!
