What are some good places to have a small reception in Las Vegas?

Nothing extravagant. Don't need a DJ. Just somewhere to have a small buffet-style reception with some drinks (open bar preferred) for 35 guests for an hour or two. Very non-traditional. Maggiano's was an option but too expensive (Minimum $2000). Is it better to reserve a big room in a restaurant and just do dinner (which we would pay for)? Please feel free to suggest locations/restaurants and I will look into them! Thanks!
